Your Voice Matters
Hello Sunshine!
My Name Is Ms. Jen
Welcome,
I’m SO glad you’re here! My name is Ms. Jen (Jenessa Rae Provence).
I am 26, born and raised in San Diego, CA. I graduated from California Baptist University with my B.A. in Early Childhood Development. I have years of experience in musical theater, piano, and voice instruction. Music has always been my safe and fun place. Through life’s challenges, I’ve learned how powerful music can be as a tool for healing, growth, and self-expression. I believe music gives children a special way to learn, connect, and discover their own unique voices.
I have two years of experience working with children with special needs as a Behavioral Therapist through HealthPRO Pediatrics. This experience strengthened my passion for supporting children with patience, compassion, and understanding while helping them build confidence, communication skills, and independence. All abilities, learning delays, and disabilities welcomed and encouraged.
I have also had the privilege of working with nonprofits such as Ronald McDonald House and Arms Wide Open, which has deepened my desire to continue serving children and families in meaningful ways.
Did you know that humming can help decrease anxiety? Music has an incredible ability to calm, encourage, and create a sense of safety and connection.
In my classes, I teach mindfulness, affirmations, and confidence-building activities. I use real-life scenarios to help children develop the skills they need to navigate life’s challenges while building a strong voice, healthy boundaries, and resilience. These classes are designed to be fun, but they are also intentional teaching moments where children can grow emotionally, socially, and creatively.
I believe music is an empowering way for children to find themselves, embrace their individuality, and become their most authentic selves. Music can help reduce anxiety, strengthen social skills, and create a lasting sense of confidence.
My vision is to create a program that empowers strong, kind hearts, creative minds, and confident voices through music. Eventually I'd like to intersect mental health, music and advocacy.
My long-term hope is to continue expanding this mission by advocating for safe spaces for children who are seeking support through difficult circumstances. My long-term aspiration is to create a trauma-informed space for those who have experienced challenges. I believe music can be incredibly restorative and can provide children and adults with meaningful tools for coping, self-expression, and connection. I want to be someone who helps change the system while teaching coping mechanisms that can support people in living healthier and more enjoyable lives. Ultimately, I hope to create a future where fewer children experience the lasting effects of trauma and have the opportunity to grow into healthy, confident, and empowered adults. I plan on furthering my education in the realm of advocacy and social work. Through personal experience, I understand the healing power of music and the importance of having spaces where children feel safe, heard, valued, and loved.
Many children carry experiences from an early age that can impact their emotional well-being, relationships, and choices for years to come. When children have access to safe, supportive environments, they have a greater opportunity to heal, build resilience, and discover their own strength. I believe that by creating safer places for children, teaching them to find their voices, and surrounding them with compassion and encouragement, we can help shape a brighter future. When we create safer places for children, we create a better community for everyone.
I hope to create community events that bring awareness and raise funds to support children and families, while continuing to use music as a way to inspire healing, confidence, and hope.
I am located in the San Diego area and would love the opportunity to connect with your family and help your child find their inner voice.
You were meant to shine.
With love,
Ms. Jen
